Organic Keyword Tracking Performance Report is a monitoring sub-service of SEO Performance Analysis. We track an agreed number of priority keywords every day and provide a monthly report showing the daily ranking position of each keyword across the previous 30 days.
See the movement behind the monthly position
A single ranking checked once a month can hide what happened between reports. Daily tracking shows whether a keyword has been stable, gradually improving, gradually declining or moving sharply from one day to the next. This makes the monthly report more useful when performance needs to be interpreted rather than simply recorded.
Daily ranking history
See the recorded position for each tracked keyword across the reporting period rather than relying on one end-of-month snapshot.
Trend and volatility context
Identify sustained gains or losses, temporary fluctuations and keywords that may need closer investigation.
Google update analysis
Compare ranking movement with confirmed or suspected periods of wider search volatility, including core and spam updates, without assuming that an update is automatically the cause.
Prioritised keyword monitoring
Track a defined set of commercially or strategically important keywords so reporting remains focused on the search terms that matter to the business.
Why daily keyword tracking is useful
Organic rankings are not static. Search results can change because of competitors, website changes, search intent, SERP features, seasonality and Google systems. A 30-day daily history provides evidence that can be compared with traffic, Search Console data and known events when a change needs further analysis.
This is particularly useful during periods of unusual volatility. For example, when Google releases a spam or core update, the tracked history can help establish when movement began, which keywords were affected and whether the pattern is broad or limited to particular areas. It does not prove causation on its own, but it provides a stronger timeline for investigation.

A defined number of keywords
The service is based on an agreed number of tracked keywords. The keyword set can be selected around important services, products, locations or search themes. Keeping the set defined makes it possible to follow the same terms consistently and compare their movement over time.
What the monthly report shows
- the tracked keyword set for the reporting period;
- daily recorded ranking positions across the previous 30 days;
- movement and visibility trends that deserve attention;
- context around material changes or unusual volatility where relevant; and
- a clearer basis for deciding whether deeper SEO Performance Analysis is required.
Monitoring first, investigation when needed
Keyword tracking is an observation tool rather than a diagnosis by itself. If the report identifies a significant or persistent change, we can compare the ranking history with Search Console, analytics, crawling, website changes, competitors and other relevant evidence through SEO Performance Analysis. This keeps routine monitoring proportionate while making deeper investigation available when the data justifies it.
