Backlink Profile Analysis reviews the links pointing to your website to identify suspicious, unrelated or spam-like patterns. We combine recognised third-party backlink data with manual review rather than relying on an automated toxicity score alone.
Understand what is in your backlink profile
This analysis can be useful after historic link building, a sudden increase in backlinks, a ranking decline, a manual action, a hacking incident or other activity that has left questions about the quality of links pointing to the domain.
Profile and pattern review
We inspect backlink data for unusual patterns, unrelated sources and signals that deserve closer investigation.
Manual website checks
Potentially problematic links and domains are reviewed manually to help distinguish genuine websites from spam and irrelevant sources.
Prioritised proposal
Where a disavow is justified, we prepare a proposed approach rather than treating every flagged link as equally risky.
Implementation guidance
The client retains the final decision. We provide instructions, or can manage implementation when backlink work forms part of an SEO campaign.
A measured approach to disavow decisions
A disavow proposal is not an automatic outcome of seeing a poor third-party score. We review the location, relevance, link characteristics and the website behind the link. Where action is justified, we can organise the proposed domains into staged files so the client can review a gradual approach rather than making a large change without context.
Analysis first, action second
The final decision to submit a disavow remains with the client. If you already have a disavow file, we do not review it in isolation because it needs to be considered against the current backlink profile.
Disavowing links does not guarantee a ranking recovery. Backlinks may be only one part of a wider performance problem, including after a website has been hacked, so the findings should be considered alongside the other evidence affecting the site.
